Volunteers are not permitted to receive financial compensation for their contributions. However, from time to time, it may be appropriate to express gratitude through a small gift. Any such gift given to a committee member should be recorded in the accounting record sunder the category “Gifts”, reported at the next P&C meeting, and documented in the meeting minutes.
Gifts received from suppliers are not permitted due to the raise of conflict of interest
If a gift exceeds a value of $150, it must also be disclosed to the school.
